TorrESMIN is a self-hosted Stremio addon that connects your own Prowlarr/Jackett to your own TorrServer, enabling true seeking (skipping forward and back without re-downloading the torrent) without relying on paid debrid services. I built the entire API in Node/Express, with Redis for search caching and optional PostgreSQL for persisting per-user configuration. Security was a major focus: TorrServer is never exposed to the internet — every byte of video streams through the addon, which validates per-person access keys with automatic IP locking, plus protections against path traversal and ReDoS. I also built an admin panel to manage access keys and curated catalogs (Criterion Collection, IMDb Top 250, and more) without touching code, and a token-based template builder that lets users customize how each stream is displayed in Stremio. It's tested with Node's native test runner with zero extra dependencies, and ships via Docker Compose bundled with Redis and TorrServer.
